General notes 2 - Requirements for 1891

Harradine (1987) reports that Sr. Jose Aguillo, the Director General of the Post (in Manila) upon being asked by the Minister of Posts in Spain (Madrid) to name his requirments for the next year (1891) replied as follows:

"inasmuch as the portion of stamped stock remaining at the General Post Office in Manila had yet considerable numbers of other values while other values are exhausted. I would recommend a change in colours be made, and new values to be created such as 10c de peso, 20c and 25c de peso to be printed."
