The forged handstamp was described by Bartels et al (1904) as Illustration C57. Characteristics: The “S” of “CORREOS” is partially over the inner right line of the frame (but not to the same extent as in B1), The date is small and is too near the lower line of the frame. the “H” of “HABILITADO” appears too low relative to the frame line. The period below “s” in “CENTs” and after date are large. The horizontal bar at the base of “1” in “15” may appear curved. |
